September 3, 2010
MGM Resorts is offering special events and packages during Las Vegas Restaurant Week, which takes place Aug. 30 through Sept. 5. Restaurant Week gives diners an opportunity to dine at more than 80 establishments at discounted prices while raising money to feed the hungry.
The annual event offers a prix fixe menus priced at $20.10, $30.10 and $50.10, depending on the restaurant. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Three Square, a nonprofit organization in Las Vegas working to end hunger in Southern Nevada.
Restaurant Week will kick off with “Wet Your Appetite at Wet Republic” at the MGM Grand, featuring booths and food stations from several of the participating restaurants, including Joël Robuchon, Craftsteak, Fiamma, Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Jean Georges Steakhouse, Sage, Burger Bar, Fleur de Lys, Sensi, Osteria del Circo and Todd English’s Olives. Celebrity chef Hubert Keller will be the special guest DJ during the party, which will also feature live music, synchronized swimmers and Studio 54 go-go dancers.
Tickets to the event cost $30.10 and can be used as dining vouchers at any participating MGM Grand restaurant during Restaurant Week.
Other ticketed Restaurant Week events at the MGM Grand include “The Perfect Paella, presented by Seablue Chef Stephen Hopcraft; “Tease in The Kitchen” at L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon; and “A Night of High Spirits” at Tom Colicchio’s Craftsteak.
