ROCKHOUSE ROCKS “OCTOBEERFEST”

September 29th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

September 29, 2010
Grab “Das Boot” and Celebrate the Month of Beer at Rockhouse
LAS VEGAS – Nothing says fall like a boot full of beer and nothing says beer like Rockhouse Bar & Nightclub. As the weather starts to cool down, it’s time to dust off the lederhosen (but leave them at home) and raise that giant mug of beer, because starting Friday, October 1, the Strip’s only ultra-dive bar will celebrate “Octobeerfest.”
For the month of October, partygoers can get their hands on “das boot,” a 48-ounce souvenir boot-shaped mug – or is it a mug-shaped boot – filled with their choice of beer for just $27. Whether they choose to guzzle, share, or engage in a round of free beer pong, the souvenir cup is theirs to keep and refills are just $16 each. For the avid beer connoisseur, Rockhouse’s 64-ounce “super beer” also comes chock-full of delicious lager for $27 with refills available for $20.
Rockhouse’s gorgeous roster of bartenders will pour “Octobeerfesters” with their choice of Budweiser, Bud Light, Bud Light Golden Wheat, or for those trying to fit into those lederhosen later, Michelob Ultra.
Day or night, it’s always the right time to party at Rockhouse. Whether people watching on the rowdy Strip-side patio by day, or dancing on the bar with an 80-ounce guitar by night, the ultra-dive bar is one of Vegas’ best-kept secrets. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 a.m., Rockhouse will give partygoers the ultimate nightlife experience – minus the “VIP” attitude.
With a knockout lineup of gorgeous bartenders, bottle service that won’t break the bank, a walk-away daiquiri bar and casual dress code, Rockhouse is a definite must-visit hotspot for locals and tourists alike.
Blending a local dive bar with the glamour of Sin City’s party scene at a convenient center Strip location, Rockhouse is the top party destination on the Strip.
Las Vegas’ only ultra dive bar features top-notch lighting and sound with the best DJs in Las Vegas blending upbeat rock, hip-hop and dance. With beautiful bartenders pouring drinks from the bar tops, playing in the giant bird cage and dangling from tire swings suspended from the ceiling, Rockhouse is the spot where the party never stops.
Rockhouse is located on Las Vegas Blvd. in front of Imperial Palace, directly across from Caesars Palace in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip. The daiquiri and main bar open daily at 10 a.m. and the adjacent nightclub is open from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly.

September 29th, 2010 | Category: Uncategorized

September 29, 2010
October 22-24
Las Vegas—Beloved around the world and celebrating more than 50 years in entertainment, The Osmonds – brothers Wayne, Merrill, Jay and Jimmy – return to perform at The Orleans Showroom, October 22, 23 and 24, each evening at 8 p.m.
Having thrilled millions with their signature brand of entertainment, the legendary brothers have mastered a range of musical styles, including barbershop, pop, rock, country and jazz. Known for such classic hits as “One Bad Apple,” “Yo-Yo,” “Down By The Lazy River” and “Love Me For A Reason,” the brothers’ close harmonies are unrivaled in the music world.
The Osmonds have sold millions of albums over their long careers and have several gold and platinum records to their credit.
Five decades ago, the young Osmond boys were flashed across national television screens on The Andy Williams Show, what was meant to be a one-time shot at the big time. That single appearance led the Osmonds to seven seasons as regulars on the show.
The Osmond brothers enjoyed professional gigs at Disneyland and with The Jerry Lewis Show before they signed with MGM Records and skyrocketed to worldwide recognition.
Known for their versatility and for shaping musical styles to fit their talents – they mastered 28 musical instruments – the Osmonds gained further exposure with the 1976 advent of The Donny and Marie Show. With the Osmond brothers as executive producers, the show was a true example of their abilities to project the unified quality of their own family relationship, and in 1979 the show transformed into The Osmond Family Show.
Success continued and in 1982, the Osmonds transitioned their sound from pop to country music.
Billboard magazine honored them with the “1982 Breakthrough Award” and acknowledged them as the “Number One New Singles Group of the Year.” A decade later, after almost 40 years of concert tours, the Osmonds purchased a theater in Branson, Missouri and began performing 12 shows a week at the Osmond Family Theater.
They have been recognized as “Best Vocal Group” and “Best Show in Branson” numerous times over the years.
Few groups or individuals have had the staying power or broad musical range as the Osmonds. In 2003, the Osmond family was honored for their achievements in the entertainment industry with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Osmonds keep the spirit of “America’s favorite family of entertainment” alive by performing regularly in Branson and by touring the United States and Europe.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets are available starting from $29.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be purchased by calling the Box Office at 702.365.7075 or visiting www.orleanscasino.com . Save on convenience fees by purchasing the tickets in person at Coast Casinos.
