Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Opens All-Suite HRH Tower
• Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas has opened the doors of its new all-suite hotel tower, HRH Tower, featuring 359 standard suites, 40,000 square feet of new casino space, eight spa villas, seven penthouse suites, Reliquary Spa and Vanity nightclub.
• The HRH Tower, located at the south end of the property, is part of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s widely-publicized $750 million expansion that broke ground in 2007.
Vanity Nightclub Opens at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino
• Created by Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s nightlife group (Body English, Rare 120, REHAB and Wasted Space) and legendary baseball player Jason Giambi, Vanity nightclub opens Jan. 2.
• The 14,000-square-foot venue features champagne menus engraved on handheld antique mirrors, two marble bars, 50 intimate VIP booths and an outdoor terrace with cabanas, a fire pit and direct access to the new outdoor Sky Bar (opening April 2010).
• VIP seating lines the 80 square-foot sunken dance floor while a spectacular cyclone chandelier, lit with more than 20,000 LED lights, brings the hotspot to life.
• A ladies lounge is complete with nail and makeup technicians available for touch ups.
Planet Hollywood Opens Westgate Resorts Tower
• Planet Hollywood opened a 50-story glass marvel featuring 1,200 luxuriously appointed vacation villas and 28 exclusive penthouse suites.
• Ownership amenities include an exotic tropical pool complete with sandy beach and private cabanas, an elite 46th floor pool for the penthouse suites, a world-class fitness facility, restaurants, casino and marketplace.
• The resort is connected to Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.
Veer Towers at CityCenter
• Veer Towers, the only strictly residential building at CityCenter, starts closing procedures on its 335 residences this month.
• Distinctively designed as two glass towers leaning in opposite directions at a five-degree angle, Veer Towers contains studios, one-, two- and three-bedroom units, as well as penthouse suites.
• Residents can enjoy an infinity-edge pool on each rooftop, which also features cabanas, a hot tub and a sun deck, as well as several other amenities.
Hussong’s Cantina Opens at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place
• Ensenada, Mexico landmark Hussong’s Cantina is bringing an approachable menu and buoyant Baja atmosphere to Las Vegas when it opens in January at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place located between Mandalay Bay and Luxor on the Las Vegas Strip.
• Whether it’s the authentic Baja cuisine, the chance to experience the unusually strong original margarita or sing along to the rock ‘n’ roll Mariachi band, Hussong’s Cantina appeals to every kind of crowd.
• The 3,700-square-foot Vegas restaurant will savor all the charms of the original, right down to the façade, exterior signage and a replica of the rustic green and red bar.
Barry Manilow Brings New Show to Paris Las Vegas
• Legendary singer-songwriter Barry Manilow will open a new resident show at Paris Las Vegas beginning March 5, 2010.
• Manilow will perform 78 shows each year for two years at Paris Las Vegas.
• Directed by renowned stage and film choreographer and director Jeffrey Hornaday (Flashdance, A Chorus Line, High School Musical), this new show will cast Manilow’s hits in a new light in the intimate and elegant 1,500 seat Paris Théâtre.
• Including all the songs that have made him a pop culture icon over the past 35 years, the show will bring the energy, sincerity and melody of Manilow at his best to a spectacular yet personal crescendo.
Eva Longoria Parker Opens Beso and Eve at CityCenter
• Actress Eva Longoria Parker has introduced her contemporary steakhouse with Latin flair, Beso, and her new nightclub, Eve, at Crystals at CityCenter.
• The restaurant and nightclub concept occupies two stories.
• Beso, the Spanish word for kiss, combines Longoria Parker’s Latin heritage and her passion for cooking with the culinary talents of celebrated chef, Todd English.
• On the second level, guests experience the elegant atmosphere of Eve where a breathtaking 50-foot arched ceiling and lavish VIP booths accentuate the glamorous interior.
• The 8,000-square-foot hotspot is enveloped in black with accents of sparkling gold, and mirrored windows showcase the nighttime views outside.
Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas to Launch New Cooking Class Series
• Mon Ami Gabi at Paris Las Vegas will host cooking classes throughout the year featuring specialties directly from the French bistro’s menu.
• The cooking demonstrations will feature Executive Chef Terry Lynch along with Mon Ami Gabi’s wine connoisseur.
• The theme of each class will teach participants how to cook a three-course, French-inspired meal with wine pairing in a fun, interactive, and non-intimidating atmosphere.
• Classes will be held on select Saturdays beginning Jan. 23.
Day Dreamin’ Exotic Tours Introduces New Experience
• Day Dreamin’ Exotic Tours has introduced a new experience for sports car enthusiasts.
• Beginning and ending at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino, participants drive five exotic sports cars on a three-hour tour, “Euro-caravan” -style on open roads through the stunning Red Rock Canyon and Spring Mountain Peak.
• The tour finishes up with a cruise down the Las Vegas Strip.
• The tour host will lead the way in a pace car for approximately 90 miles with pit stops every 20-30 minutes to change vehicles and drivers.
• At the end of the tour, customers receive a disk with photos of their experience, and a Day Dreamin’ Exotics gift pack.
JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa Introduces “2010 How Suite It Is” Package
• JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa introduces the “2010 How Suite It Is” package, available through Dec. 31, 2010, based on availability.
• Amenities include a two-night stay in a two-bedroom Vista Suite, choice of a welcome amenity, breakfast daily, one 50-minute spa treatment each at Aquae Sulis Spa, foursome of golf or a lesson at TPC Las Vegas, and one dinner at J.C. Wooloughan Irish Pub or Ceres Restaurant.
• The package is a total savings of more than $800.
