Renowned Chef Bradley Ogden to be in Las Vegas for New Year’s Eve
Serendipity 3’s Strip-Side Patio: The Ultimate People-Watching Spot to Ring in 2010
LAS VEGAS – Celebrate 2010 Strip-side at Serendipity 3’s spacious patio, perfect for people-watching or side-by-side renowned Chef Bradley Ogden. This New Year’s Eve, exciting and unique experiences await guests who want to ring in the New Year after Bette Midler’s 7:30 p.m. performance in the Caesars Palace Colosseum or before the citywide fireworks display at midnight.
Bradley Ogden: Famed chef Bradley Ogden will be in Las Vegas to welcome 2010 with guests in his name-sake restaurant, honored 2004 Best New Restaurant in the nation by the renowned James Beard Foundation. For the special evening, a 4-course prix fixe tasting menu. The amuse: Kumamoto Oyster with Russian Osetra and Cauliflower Confetti.
The first course selections: Gilroy Garlic Soup; Hierloom Beet Salad or Glazed Squab Breast. For the second course:
Marinated Alaskan King Crab; Roasted Columbian River Sturgeon or Atlantic Diver Scallops.
For the main course: Braised Kobe Short Rib; South Dakota Bison Tenderloin or Grilled Veal Chop. The desserts: Maple Panna Cotta; Duo of Chocolate Mousse or Baked Alaska. The price starts at $119 per person.
Payard Pâtisserie & Bistro: Award-winning Pastry Chef François Payard created a special menu to kick off the evening festivities.
The amuse bouche is a choice of Beef Tapenade Crustini, Vegetable Vol aux Vent, Oyster Shot with Caviar; Foie Gras Terrine with Cranberry and Quince Chutney Balsamic Reduction and Brioche Toast or Purple and White Asparagus Salad with a Fresh Black Truffle Vinaigrette.
For the entrée, select from Roasted Rack of Lamb with Parsnip Puree and Thyme; Red Snapper with Winter Vegetable Cocotte or Fillet of Beef Rossini.
Guests will enjoy Pink Champagne Rose Granite and the Payard Dessert Cart with Petit Four and Chocolate. Dinner service begins at 5:30 p.m. The price is $65 per person.
Rao’s: This New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe menu is available from 5 to 10:30 p.m. For antipasti, enjoy from Cacciuco Alla Livornese with Livorno Style Fish Soup prepared with Monkfish, Calamari, Eel, Mediterranean Black Mussels in Fresh Tomato and White Wine Sauce Served Over Italian Garlic Bread; Insalata Di Mare with Steamed Calamari, Shrimp, Pei Mussels, Lobster and Crabmeat garnished with Celery, Gaeta Olives and Parsley; or Insalata Caprese with Rosso Bruno and Heirloom Tomatoes, Buffalo Mozzarella with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, fresh Basil, Garlic and fresh Oregano Marinate. For the primi piatti, Black Tagliolini Ai Frutti Di Mare with Clams, Pei Mussels, Calamari, Shrimp and Sea Scallops, White Wine and a touch of tomatoes over freshly made black (Squid Ink) Tagliolini; Risotto Con Zucchini, Carrote E Crescione Vialone Rice Cooked with Baby Zucchini, Baby Carrots and Watercress or Gnocchetti Ai Gamberetti with small fresh potato Gnocchi in spicy fresh Tomato and Shrimp Sauce.

For the secondi piatti, Dentice Alla Livornese or Red Snapper, pan seared over Sautéed Spinach topped with Tomato, Caper Berries, Gaeta Olive Sauce; Surf and Turf; or Ossobuco Alla Milanese, a braised veal shank with “Gremolatta” sauce over saffron and Veal Marrow Risotto. Dessert is included.
Price begins at $160 per person and includes a glass of Rao’s Prosecco or a Bellini.
Restaurant Guy Savoy: On this special evening, in addition to the option of ordering a la carte, guests can experience classic menus from world-renowned Guy Savoy.
Menu Elegance begins at $240 per person and features Marinated Lobster, Salad and Gelée of Summer Herbs; Crispy Sea Bass with Delicate Spices; Artichoke and Black Truffle Soup served with Toasted Mushroom Brioche, and Black Truffle Butter; “Poached-Roasted“ Baby Chicken, Couscous of Cauliflower, Spinach Puree and Mustard Jus; Fruit and Chocolate.
For Menu Prestige beginning at $390 per person, guests will enjoy Oysters en Gelée; Marinated Lobster, Salad and Gelée of Summer Herbs; “Colors of Caviar”; Crispy Sea Bass with Delicate Spices; Foie-Gras “en Papillotte” and Radish Bouillon; Artichoke and Black Truffle Soup served with Toasted Mushroom Brioche and Black Truffle Butter; Roasted Veal Chop, Black Truffle Potato Purée, Young Vegetables Braised in Veal Jus; Selection de Fromages Affinés; Coconut and Chocolate Fondant, Crunchy Praline and Chicory Cream.
Serendipity 3: Last but not least, for an amazing vantage point for people-watching on the world-famous Las Vegas Strip during this momentous evening, enjoy dinner on Serendipity 3’s patio. An all-you-can-eat buffet will be offered on New Year’s Eve from 10:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. featuring spudnicks; Wild Wild West Wings; Chicken Strips Vegas Style; Mini Pizza Bagels; Mini Summer Bries; Pigs in a Blanket; Mac & Cheese and unlimited cotton candy martinis, beer, signature mojitos, wine and their signature Frrrozen Hot Chocolate “Shots.” The price is $103 per person. Then start off New Years Day right, 12:30 a.m. to 3 a.m., Serendipity will offer select signature entrees and breakfast items including the famous “Hangover Omelet.”
For weekend specials, Crab Cake Salad with Ruby Red Grapefruit, Champagne Vinaigrette, Avocado and Corn; Cowboy Ribeye Steak Bone In, Served with Romano Onion Ring Tower and Herb Compound Butter; Cedar Plank Salmon with Mesquite Mustard Butter and Roasted Root Vegetables; the $100 Hamburger, a 16 Oz. Kobe Steak Burger Blend Stuffed with Foie Gras, Butter Poached Lobster Tail and Shaved Truffles served atop a Brioche Bun or the Fried Snickers Sundae with Dulce De Leche and Vanilla Ice Cream, Gooey Caramel, Whipped Cream and Caramel Brittle.
