Super 8 Worldwide, the official hotel company of Richard Petty Motorsports and sponsor of the No. 43 Super 8 Dodge car, is revving up the excitement this race season with Petty’s Tune Up Challenge, a new online interactive game that allows players to compete for a range of racing-themed prizes, including a VIP trip to a NASCAR race and the chance to meet racing legend Richard Petty.

Fans visiting the site can suit up as a member of Petty’s crew and race against the clock to get his car out of pit row and past the checkered flag with the fastest time around the track. The top three players with the fastest time each month will receive a Petty Prize Pack, consisting of a $50 gas card, Petty memorabilia and a free stay at a Super 8 hotel.
One grand prize winner and a guest will receive a three-day, two-night trip to the race in Charlotte in October, where they’ll meet Petty and his crew, tour the pit and garage and participate in the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
All airfare, travel, meals and accommodations will be provided complements of Super 8 Worldwide.
One first prize winner and eight second prize winners will receive passes for the Richard Petty Driving Experience and a Petty Prize Pack.

Available on the site are a 15 percent Super Fan discount good at all participating Super 8 hotels; race information including the latest news, race photos, audio and video on Richard Petty and the Richard Petty Motorsport team; and an interactive booking engine for Super 8 hotels closest to race tracks. In addition, race fans can post their own photos and content to the site, sharing their race experiences with others.
This is the second of two Super 8 Petty’s Tune Up Challenge contests this year. In May 2009, Michael K. Cooper of Georgia won the grand prize for the first contest with a lap time of 2 minutes 40 seconds. This August, he and a guest will travel to Bristol, Tenn., complements of Super 8 Worldwide, to attend the race and enjoy the Richard Petty Driving Experience.
