Vegas Fremont Street Experience Summer of ‘69

The Fremont Street Experience will present the “Summer of ’69: Vegas or Bust” festival and free concert series, from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend.
Among the concert performers will be the Guess Who; Blood, Sweat & Tears; Rare Earth; Janis Joplin’s original band, Big Brother & The Holding Company; the Grass Roots; Jefferson Starship; The 5th Dimension; Canned Heat; and Three Dog Night.
Among the other events: Memorial Day Weekend: Celebrate & Remember brings a military tribute to the Fremont Street Experience, honoring past and current members of the military who have served the United States.
The Vegas Groovy Cruise takes place June 5 to 7 and features classic and muscle cars from 1969. American Pie 4th of July commemorates Independence Day weekend July 3 to 5 and highlights the Fremont Street Experience’s Viva Vision show, “Don McLean’s American Pie.”
A fireworks display will take place the evening of July 4 on the Viva Vision canopy. One Giant Leap: 40th Anniversary of Moon Landing will commemorating the launch of Apollo 11 on July 16, the landing on the moon on July 20, and the splashdown back on Earth.
Woodstock TributePalooza: 40th Anniversary of Woodstock will relive the music festival from August 1969 with tribute artists from around the country, Aug. 14 to 16. And Labor Day Weekend: End of Summer, What a Bummer Bash will close the summer concert series Sept. 4 to 7.
All 10 Fremont Street Experience properties will take part in the Summer of ’69: Vegas or Bust celebration with themed promotions and outdoor food and drink specials. In addition, retail shops and kiosks will feature Summer of ’69 merchandise.

New this year, the “Peace of Mind” package is available in city and resort locations around the world. Inclusive features at resorts are deluxe room accommodations, full American breakfast for two served in the restaurant, daily Internet access and local phone calls, overnight parking, and Ritz Kids special activities program for two youngsters. In addition to all of these extra perks and privileges, the Peace of Mind package offers the option of three nights for the price of two, five nights for the price of three, and a week for the price of only four nights.
For city locations, including both properties in New York City, the offering includes deluxe accommodations; full American breakfast, Internet access and local calls, plus parking.
When reserving five nights, guests will only pay for three and for a seven-night stay, pay only for four nights.

Signing on as the first rock and roll resident artist in Las Vegas, Carlos Santana brings his legendary talent to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino through a multi-year deal with AEG Live. CREED at the Hard Rock Vegas

Creed, one of the most successful rock bands of the past decade, has announced all four of the original band members are back together for a summer tour and new album.
Since their formation, Creed has sold close to thirty-five million albums and millions of concert tickets.
The songwriting team of Stapp and Tremonti are considered one of the most prolific in rock history.
Their collaborations delivered numerous chart-topping records that are a testament to the enormity and success of Creed. The band was the first act to have seven consecutive number one rock radio singles, four of which came off of the debut album. Their third album, Weathered, tied The Beatles Anthology, for the most consecutive weeks at Number One on Billboard’s Top 200 chart (eight weeks since the beginning of the SoundScan era (1991).
The band was voted Favorite Group in 2003 on the People’s Choice Awards and won numerous American Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards and others including the Grammy Award for best Rock Song in 2001 for “With Arms Wide Open.”
