February 6, 2009.  Alamo Rent A Car announced a new airport promotion offering $10-per-day rates Thursday through Monday, which will help make weekend travel more affordable and feasible for many consumers.Rob Hibbard, vice president for Alamo Rent A Car, pointed out that according to national surveys, almost 50 percent of Americans did not use all of their vacation last year and left approximately 460 million vacation days on the table. Extended weekend getaways are an ideal way to squeeze in a few extra vacation days, despite busy schedules and limited budgets.
