The Canyon Club box office is open Monday through Saturday, noon-9 p.m. Cherry Poppin’ Daddies released three self-produced albums, Ferociously Stoned, Rapid City Muscle Car and Kids on the Street before 1997’s Zoot Suit Riot, a compilation disc featuring all of the straight swing tracks from the previous three albums and four brand-new tracks, including the title song. “Zoot Suit Riot” shot the band to stardom and landed them a number one spot on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers, number 17 on the Billboard 200, a nomination for an MTV Video Music Award and a parody by “Weird Al” Yankovic. With Soul Caddy, the Daddies returned to their multi-genre routine of rock, heavy metal and jazz blended with the usual swing and funk. Their latest album, Susquehanna, was released digitally on the band’s official website in February 2008.
