Las Vegas, NV - Santana’s “Live Your Light” 2008 World Tour will make its way to Las Vegas on Saturday, October 4 for a performance at MGM Grand Garden Arena. The show will begin at 8:00pm with special guest the Salvador Santana Band.

As the “Live Your Light” tour heats up, so does Santana’s single “Into The Night,” featuring Chad Kroeger, from his latest album, the Ultimate Santana (Arista) compilation. The single is currently #7 on Billboard’s Hot Adult Top 40 chart, and #40 on the overall pop Billboard Hot 100.

Slated to drop in August 2008, Santana’s next release is the new 2-CD compilation Multi-Dimensional Warrior (Columbia-Legacy), featuring twenty-eight career-spanning recordings personally selected by Carlos Santana. The collection, which Carlos has called a “love letter to his fans,” emphasizes album cuts he regards as some of his best, most artistically resonant work from the past four decades and compositions that deepen an understanding of Santana’s creative evolution.

Disc One of Multi-Dimensional Warrior will present fourteen tracks featuring vocals, with highlights including “Let There Be Light” from 1990’s Spirits Dancing In The Flesh, “I’ll Be Waiting” from 1977’s Moonflower, “Your Touch” from 1993’s Milagro and “Serpents And Doves” from 2004’s Food For Thought. Disc Two’s selections are purely instrumental, reaching as far back as “Samba Pa Ti,” a stand-out from 1970’s #1 album Abraxas. Also featured are “Europa” from 1976’s Amigos and two GRAMMY-winning cuts: “El Farol” from Santana’s blockbuster 1999 album Supernatural, which he co-wrote and performed with his son, Salvador Santana; and “Blues For Salvador,” from Carlos’ ’87 album by that name.

Attendees are inundated with all the music industry has to offer – from panels on management, legal counsel, shopping record labels and much more, to individual one-on-one activities including demo review and press kit/public relations counsel.
